Frequently Asked Questions Email Us Start a Chain Reaction

This website was developed by individuals who are registered Republicans, who support the Republican Party, and want to promote the philosophy of the Republican Party. Please invite your friends, relatives, and neighbors to view this site. Any suggestions for additions or modifications are welcome.

This website is not an affiliate of the official Republican Party, also commonly called the GOP or Grand Old Party, nor is it an affiliate of the California Republican Party or the Republican Party of Los Angeles County.

What is a Republican?

Assuming a person has reached the age where he or she can vote, a Republican is simply a person who is registered to vote in the Republican Party. If a person has not yet reached voting age, he or she can identify with the Republican Party by supporting it and by accepting its overall philosophy. If you are not registered to vote in the Republican Party, please take our short quiz to see if you think like a Republican. Quiz

Conservatives vs. Liberals

WVRC has created a page summarizing the major differences between conservatives and liberals, and a list of what the majority of Republicans believe. Please send or give it to as many people as possible whether they are Republicans, Democrats, or independents. Remember – one vote can make the difference between winning and losing an election. See A History of Close Elections.

To Republican Parents and Teachers

The contents of this website can be used as a teaching tool for older children. Today, most public schools have a strong liberal bias in their approach to teaching children about history, politics, and government. We believe the material on this site is useful to counter balance what the majority of children hear in school. Please visit the Political Glossary, What Republicans Believe, Famous Republicans, Famous Democrats, Famous Quotes, and Famous Speeches, and let us know if you agree.

Democrats – Exercise Extreme Caution!

Warning: We have received information from reliable sources that Democrats have been reading this website and have been sending links to other Democrats. In some cases, Democrats and their families have voted for Republican candidates, and many have registered to vote as Republicans. If you are a Democrat and have experienced the temptation to support the Grand Old Party, we accept full responsibility and welcome you.

Staunch Democrats – We Dare You…

If you are a staunch Democrat and a liberal who has come across this site, we offer you a challenge. Direct your children or grandchildren to this site so they can learn about Republicans and what we represent. Don’t be afraid to expose them to another viewpoint. We dare you to do it. If you’re really a liberal, as you define the term, you will want them to know what we have to say and how we think.

A Gift for Our Liberal Friends

While some liberal Democrats such as Hillary Clinton consider Republicans to be the enemy, Republicans don’t consider Democrats to be the enemy. In fact, to prove our point, we have a free gift for you. Upon request, WVRC will send you a professionally designed, beautiful, red, white and blue sign that you can place in the front window of your home reading: “This is a Gun Free Zone”.

What Happens When Conservatives Don’t Support

Republican Candidates in General Elections

It should be no surprise that in Republican primaries, conservative Republicans vote for and support conservative candidates. Sometimes conservative candidates win in the primary and sometimes they don’t. When a moderate Republican candidate wins the primary, conservatives are sometimes tempted not to support the moderate candidate in the general election. This is exactly what happened when John McCain won the presidential primary election in 2008 and Mitt Romney won the presidential primary election in 2012. Many conservatives refused to support and vote for them in the general election. Both Republican candidates lost the general election to Barack Obama. The result has been a disaster for America. Republicans who did not vote for the moderates got a president who has consistently represented the extreme left and who is now considered by most to be an even worse president than Jimmy Carter. The lesson for conservative Republicans is clear. In all general elections, vote for the better candidate even if he or she is not your ideal. Always consider how the alternative will effect America. Our country cannot endure another extreme left president and remain the America we love.

Independent Voters

Republicans respect your right to be an independent voter or to decline to state a preference for any political party. However, we do want to provide you with solid reasons to vote for our Republican candidates and many of those reasons can be found on this website. We hope that you will explore our website carefully in order to learn as much as possible about Republican values and positions.  See Facts About Independent Voters.

The next election will be decided by those who vote.

How to Register to Vote in Every State

Registering to vote is easy and can be done online in most states. The website provides simple instructions for all 50 states. If you are not registered as a Republican, please do so now. If you are not certain whether you are registered to vote, the website will provide you with the answer.

Typists — Volunteers Needed needs one or two volunteers to prepare typed pages that will be added to this website. The rough material will be emailed to you. You will then format and return the pages by email. When approved, the typed pages will be provided to our webmaster who will add the pages as directed. If you can help us build the website, we can reach more people with more information. Please call Michael 818-991-9019 if you would like to help us build and improve the Republican Party.
